When asked if she would go under the knife again, the 38-year-old star told , “Hell no.” The mother of four, including Alana Thompson a.k.a. Honey Boo-Boo, added, “I did what I wanted to do and that’s it!”
June previously weighed 460 pounds at her heaviest before undergoing a full transformation following her surgery in 2015. The whole process of her transformation was well-documented on her WE tv’s reality TV show “Mama June: From Not to Hot”.
Following the surgery, June changed her diet and worked out with a trainer to maintain her weight. “People think that I’m going to gain the weight back. But hello, I’ve almost been at this [weight] for a year and a half and I’m not gaining!” June proudly said to the magz. “My current weight is like 165 to 170. I just try to watch what I eat and exercise when I can. I don’t ever want to go back.”
In BOOKr.VIP news, it seems like Sugar Bear a.k.a. Mike Thompson’s wife Jennifer Lamb was mulling over weight loss surgery just like what June underwent. The Friday, February 23 episode saw Jennifer, who tied the knot with Mama June’s ex in February 2017, starting to worry about being overweight and its negative effects.
“Lately I’ve been having these chest pains, being dizzy and just not feeling right. There’s no need to tell Mike until I find out what’s going on for myself,” she shared. “With the dizziness and the chest pain going on, I’m starting to worry that something is seriously wrong.”
She later went to a doctor and was shocked when she found out her weight, 431 lbs. Her primary doctor, Dr. Michael Blaney, M.D., a bariatric surgeon, told her that “losing weight would be a significant help to your overall health” before he encouraged her to have weight loss surgery, adding, “Obesity does take away from our quality of life.”
“I don’t believe in having surgery like June did just to lose weight. I’ve always said big is beautiful and I will always stand by that,” said Jennifer. “I don’t want to look like June. I never would want to look like June, but if I keep doing what I’m doing now, I’m not guaranteed the next five years.”
