Joseph Thomas, Alexandria Thomas and Thomas Waters believe you can never have too much chocolate.
The trio immersed themselves in the sweet substance at Margaret River Chocolate Company to get a taste of being a chocolatier.
The Swan Valley factory is running apprenticeship programs this school holidays, offering an insight into the production line.
Margaret River Chocolate Company Swan Valley general manager Martin Black said the idea was to give a behind-the-scenes look at chocolate-making and teach people about the origins of chocolate.
“We really wanted to immerse them in the experience, so we’ve created a space within our production area,” he said.
“We’ve been thinking about it for a couple of years and we’ve been able to restructure our production area.”
Mr Black said he aimed to educate children and adults on the origins of chocolate.
“They will get an appreciation for where it comes from,” he said.
“A lot of kids don’t realise chocolate starts as a bean on a tree.”
