September 22, 2017

Police have charged a fourth youth with murdering a smartly dressed man in what they allege was a carjacking gone wrong.

Taisi Bartley, 20, was charged on Friday with murder and appeared briefly during before Melbourne Magistrates Court via video link.

Paul Costa’s body was found by a dog walker in Dunstan Reserve in Brunswick West on July 3.

The 43-year-old father of four was wearing an Ermenegildo Zegna suit, and his father has said he believed his son was going on a date.

Police allege Mr Costa was murdered the night before, on July 2, and his red Nissan Patrol was stolen.

His four-wheel-drive was found four days later in a Coburg street.

Detectives last week charged three teenagers, an 18-year-old man and two boys, aged 16 and 17, with murder.

One of the boys was extradited from the NSW city of Newcastle.

Mr Bartley is also charged with using a knife to steal Mr Costa’s Patrol.

The young man didn’t say anything during his appearance before the court.

Magistrate Carolyn Burnside rejected an attempt by Mr Bartley’s lawyer to suppress the young man’s name.

Mr Bartley, of Truganina, and the three teenagers are in custody and due to return to court in January. The two boys will appear before a children’s court. – #1 News in a FLASH
