LLEYTON Hewitt is backing Nick Kyrgios to get the job done for Australia in his potentially-decisive Davis Cup reverse singles rubber against Belgian No.1 David Goffin on Sunday night (10pm AEST).
Kyrgios has never lost to the world No.12 in their three previous encounters.
The pressure is on Goffin to break that duck in Brussels after John Peers and Jordan Thompson’s straight sets doubles win on Saturday gave Australia a 2-1 lead in their best-of-five clay court tie, putting Australia on the brink of a first World Group final appearance in 14 years.
Victory for Kyrgios would set up a home decider for Australia in November against either France or Serbia.

Should he lose, the onus will fall on John Millman to get Australia over the line against world No.77 Steve Darcis in the deciding fifth rubber.
“They (Kyrgios and Goffin) are two quality players going head-to-head in what will be a tough battle for their country,” Hewitt said.
“Nick will be ready, come game time. No doubt about it.”
Hewitt confirmed Millman will definitely play in the second rubber, despite a sapping three-and-a-half hour encounter against Goffin on the opening day.
The captain has the option of switching players in the squad, but said it was unlikely he’ll look to young gun Thompson who has only spent 90 minutes on court.
Australia, 28-time champions, have not appeared in the final of the prestigious team tournament since Hewitt played in the victorious 2003 campaign.
France are 2-1 up on Serbia in the other semi-final, being played in Lille.
