Coleen Rooney confirmed on February 15 she had given birth to her fourth baby boy with footballer husband Wayne Rooney.
Completely loved-up with her new arrival, the 31 year old revealed on Twitter all the important details – including baby name – about the new arrival.
Coleen wrote: “So Happy to welcome our Baby Boy… Cass Mac Rooney into the world weighing a helathy 8lb 10oz. He is beautiful.”
But why did the Liverpool beauty and Wayne chose such an unusual name for their fourth son?

As they break away from their tradition of names beginning with K, Coleen and Wayne have gone for a very rare title for a boy in the UK.
According to the babycenter.com, there were only 5,335 boy named Cass in the UK in 2017 and the name has already seen a decline in popularity for 2018.

But what does it mean? According to baby name meaning websites, the English moniker means a ‘wealthy man’ – and with a net worth like the Rooney family, that’s sure to be true.
Sheknows.com said: “People with this name have a deep inner desire to use their abilities in leadership, and to have personal independence.”
It’s also thought the name Cass, which can also be used for a girl, originated from the name Casper.
Coleen and Wayne also chose to give their newborn an unusual middle name with Mac, which only 780 people called their baby in 2017.
Derived from Ireland, it means ‘son of’.
Coleen and Wayne’s new arrival joins sons Kai, seven, Klay, four, and Kit, one.
