A man has been charged with murder six years after a Queensland woman went missing.
Leann Lapham vanished in Innisfail in April 2010, just three weeks after giving birth to her son.
Investigators at the time said they believed the 30-year-old had met with foul play and the subsequent investigation uncovered a drug ring that led to the arrest of 25 people.
Late on Wednesday night police said a 42-year-old Innisfail man had been charged with one count of murder and one count of interfering with a corpse.
The man is due to appear in the Innisfail Magistrates Court on Thursday.
It remains an ongoing investigation and Detective Inspector Geoff Marsh continues the appeal for information about the whereabouts of Ms Lapham’s remains.
